Delay jQuery Effect of Slide Text

Hello,
I'm finding that the transitions for my slide text and read more button are starting too early. I would like to delay the transitions of the slide text, not the entire slide. Is there a particular place that I should be designating the delay for the first transition? Or will I need to change one of the Jquery files?

If I can change the files, can you point me to the one I would want to edit?

Will be supported in next version of modules. Used it already in the customizations at http://cct.org, will explain more later.
