Thanks for the tip.

And thank you Admin can't imagine all the time this takes.

Images don't show if you don't have more than one news item

I missed the small note the first time through the instructions. It is important to know that you must have at least two news items or none of the slide images will be displayed at all. This does make sense for a slideshow, but it would still be nice if it was able to handle this scenario.

I thought I was experiencing one of the other "images not displaying" problems until I added a second news item. All of a sudden it worked!

I think this should be highlighted at the top of the FAQ entry "Images not showing, only grey box." "Do you have at least two news items?" is kind of like troubleshooting questions such as "Is it plugged in" and "Is it turned on?". It almost seems silly to ask, but why go through the other troubleshooting steps if it turns out that the user has only one news item?

You were right

I only had one News item and I have been working on this for hours! I created a second one after I saw this post, and there it was! I didn't want to start creating a bunch of these news items if it wasn't working it one of them. But then I guess a slideshow can't really be a slideshow without more than one slide, can it? :-P

Re: Images don't show...

Thanks for reporting.
Will have a look later how to handle the situation with one image gracefully.
I changed the text of the FAQ entry and added your suggestion.
Yes, the FAQ can be improved a lot like a lot of other things. Help appreciated. I have my ideas how to improve it, but not the time.
